Stress, depression, and anxiety are more normal than you think. When you experience issues in one area of your life, the rest can also suffer. The struggle you experience as you work on determining your identity, how to handle any trauma, and how to live in a genuine manner can leave you feeling lost, alone, and overwhelmed. Each one of us has the potential to overcome pain and suffering but sometimes need a little guidance and support. That’s where I come in.
I can help you, guide you, and support you as you process various issues related to your identity, your culture, your anxiety, your relationships, your grief and trauma, your depression and much more. I believe that with the right support and the right tools, you will be able to overcome any challenges you may be facing in your life and live your life more authentically in a blissful manner. I can help you gain a deeper insight and self-awareness that will allow you to get closer to your goals and a better quality of life.
Portraying authenticity, empathy, and compassion is important to me in my practice of helping clients. I will treat you with respect and be accepting of who you are and your values in a nonjudgmental and authentic manner. I will create a safe environment where you will feel comfortable to share and be vulnerable so that we can process your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I use a person-centered approach with my clients to first lay the foundation. Then, I use a combination of techniques from various forms of therapies including: cognitive behavioral, solution focused, mindfulness, and narrative. I also use a holistic approach of mind, body, and spirit, while acknowledging and respecting any religious and spiritual values you may have.
I have experience in helping and treating clients with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, substance abuse issues, stress, suicidality, relationship, identity and cultural issues. I have more than four years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults. I specialize in cross-cultural psychology and leadership. I also do presentations, trainings, and workshops on various mental health related topics such as: work/life balance, cultural competence, mental well-being, etc.
