What is therapy like?
Therapy is like having a guide and a supporter to see you through life’s difficult and emotional feelings and changes. Therapy allows you to have a safe space to talk about your feelings and work out the things and feelings that are bothering you. It’s a space to rely on and count on for dealing with difficult emotions or moving forward with your goals in life. Therapy sessions are 50 minutes of having someone to listen to you and support you.
How long will therapy take?
How long you will stay in therapy depends on the goals you have for therapy. If you have one thing or emotion that is bothering you, sometimes clients can start to feel more like themselves after 8-12 weeks. But, therapy is meant to be supportive for an ongoing amount of time so you can tackle life’s challenges as they come to you and discover yourself more completely. That discovery can take time and is a work in progress of moving forward.
I don’t feel like I have a major problem. Can I still benefit from therapy?
Yes, you can definitely still benefit from therapy. Sometimes therapy isn’t just working with really difficult emotions, sometimes it’s about figuring out where you want to be next. Sometimes therapy is about being a more authentic person than you already are and loving yourself more. Sometimes therapy is about figuring out the solution to something that’s been bugging you a bit more than you hoped.
What are your fees?
Our therapy sessions are 50 minutes long and range in fees from 130 dollars to 150 dollars depending on the clinician you are working with specializations and training.
Will my insurance cover our sessions? How does that work?
Most health insurance does cover mental health therapy. We are currently in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and will file your insurance claim for you. When you call us for an appointment, we will ask for your insurance card information so we can verify your plan’s coverage so you will know what your session will cost and let you know the cost.
We are an out of network provider for other insurance companies. If you have out of network insurance benefits, we will file an insurance claim to your insurance company on your behalf for reimbursement to you for fees paid for our sessions. Out of network benefits usually reimburse a percentage of the fees paid for each session, around 50-70%, after meeting a deductible. Clients are responsible for follow up with insurance companies billed out of network for all claims. You can also choose to self pay for sessions without using insurance.
Does what we talk about in therapy remain confidential?:
We care about your privacy. Often we talk about sensitive subjects in sessions. What we say in sessions stays between you and your therapist except in cases of immediate danger. We take extra measures to keep your information safe by using HIPPA compliant phones, email and online therapy platforms to keep information about you that is the most personal safe.
When can we have sessions?
We offer sessions during the days and in the evenings Monday’s through Friday’s and offer daytime sessions on the weekends. We are here for your when your schedule allows.
How will I schedule my appointments?
You can schedule your appointment several ways. You can schedule in advance using our online HIPPA secure portal where you can see your therapists availability into the future. You can call us at 404-800-7586 or you can email us using the contact forms throughout this website. You can also schedule at the end of your session.
